Abstract

Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) is an approach for retrieving related images from an picture data store based on automatically-resulting image features. The quality of a retrieval scheme depends on the features used to explain image content. Image retrieval in all-purpose and content based image retrieval in particular is well-known research fields in information management. An image contains numerous types of illustration information which are difficult to pull out and combine physically by humans. Feature extraction algorithms and comparison measures for image assessment are usually the basis of most CBIR schemes. Search in image data content uses the short–level extraction features such as color, texture and shape.
