Editorial Policy

The International Journal of Advanced Research in Science, Management, and Technology (IJARSMT) adheres to a rigorous editorial policy to maintain the highest standards of academic excellence and integrity.

1. Editorial Process

  • Peer Review Process: All submissions undergo a thorough double-blind peer review to ensure impartiality. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent experts who assess originality, methodological rigor, significance, and clarity.

  • Publication Ethics: IJARSMT is committed to the principles outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors, reviewers, and editors must avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, and academic misconduct.

  • Authorship: Authors must meet criteria defined by the ICMJE. Contributors who do not meet these criteria should be acknowledged.

  • Conflict of Interest: All parties must disclose financial, personal, or professional relationships that could influence the objectivity of the research.

  • Transparency: We promote openness in research and encourage authors to share data and methods to enhance reproducibility.

  • Decision Making: The final decision rests with the editorial board, which provides constructive feedback to authors.

AI Regulations & Integrity Policy

To uphold integrity, IJARSMT adopts the following policies regarding Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, etc.).

Manuscript Integrity & Plagiarism

We enforce a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism, including AI-generated content misuse.

Plagiarism Thresholds:

  • < 15%: Eligible for publication, subject to peer review.

  • < 25%: Accepted for further evaluation and peer review.

  • 25% – 30%: Returned for mandatory revision.

  • > 30%: Immediately rejected without peer review.

AI-Generated Content (AI Plagiarism):

  • AI-generated content must be ethically used and original.

  • The AI plagiarism level must be 0%. If AI-related plagiarism exceeds 20%, the manuscript will be rejected outright with no scope for resubmission.

Guidelines for Stakeholders

For Authors

  • Permissible Use: Use is allowed for grammar/language improvement, provided it is disclosed in the manuscript.

  • Prohibited Use: AI must not be listed as an author, nor used for data fabrication, literature reviews, or experimental results. AI content must not be passed off as original human research.

  • Disclosure: Authors must include: "The authors used [tool name] to assist with language refinement. The authors take full responsibility for the content."

For Reviewers

  • Permissible Use: Grammar checking or summarizing content for personal understanding.

  • Prohibited Use: Review reports must not be generated by AI. Confidential manuscript content must not be uploaded to external AI platforms.

For Editors

  • Permissible Use: Language editing, decision letter drafting, or metadata organization, with strict human oversight.

  • Prohibited Use: Editorial decisions must not be based solely on AI recommendations; AI must not evaluate the novelty or importance of work.
